Qualifications & Process

Our Fellowship Program is open to all individuals looking to make an impact! Whether you’re a student, early-career professional, or a mission-aligned individual seeking to contribute meaningfully to healthcare transformation, we offer a platform for growth, leadership, and innovation.

Ideal candidates bring:

  • A high degree of initiative and independence
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Curiosity, commitment, and ideally, an interest in public health, Medicaid, or health equity

Time Commitment

HT4M Fellows are expected to dedicate a minimum of 15 synchronous hours per week to fellowship work. While we require consistent weekly engagement, the overall length of the fellowship is flexible and can be tailored to meet academic, professional, or personal goals. We aim to support fellows in balancing impact with sustainability.

Interview Process

Our selection process is designed to be efficient and engaging. Once you submit the fellowship interest form, we’ll review your information and reach out to schedule two brief interviews (15 minutes each) with members of the HT4M team. These conversations help us learn more about your interests and ensure alignment with current projects and opportunities.

Fellows have worked hands-on in social media, communications, and marketing, where they take the lead in managing media campaigns, assist in event coordination, design captivating graphics for our events, and aid in promotional efforts. This opportunity allows them to gain valuable skills writing and design skills while actively contributing to our outreach and community engagement initiatives.

Dedicated policy fellows have played instrumental roles in shaping the future of healthcare through their innovative initiatives. From crafting comprehensive policy agendas to developing stakeholder engagement plans, their work has made a tangible difference in the Medicaid landscape. As policy fellows, they have been tasked with conducting in-depth research, analyzing legislative proposals, advocating for policy changes, and collaborating with key stakeholders to build impactful convennings.
