HealthTech 4 Medicaid (HT4M) and the Reproductive Health Investors Alliance (RHIA) collaborated for a impactful event during HLTH 2022, where participants engaged in an afternoon of fellowship dedicated to enhancing impact in programming and investment within sexual, reproductive, and maternal health. This convening brought together entrepreneurs, impact investors, and leaders in public health and healthcare, providing a valuable space for knowledge sharing and collaboration to advance reproductive and birthing health equity.

Following the screening, a panel moderated by Dr. Lisa Fitzpatrick, Founder of Grapevine Health and AMA External Equity and Innovation Advisory Group Member; Adimika Arthur, CEO & Executive Director of HealthTech 4 Medicaid (HT4M); Amaka Eneanya, MD, MPH, FASN, Head of Strategy & Operations at the Global Medical Office of Fresenius Medical Care; Kameron Matthews, MD, JD, FAAFP, Chief Health Officer at Cityblock Health; and Kaakpema “KP” Yelpaala, CEO of InOn Health & Chief Impact Officer of StartUp Health. During the engaging discussion, panelists acknowledged that the information presented in the documentary was not novel, expressing frustration with the persistent disparities. Reflecting on the pandemic’s revelation of mortality rates and the need for proactive change, the panelists emphasized the importance of equitable design across systems, products, and teams, urging entrepreneurs and medical directors to consider diversity within their organizations.
