HealthTech 4 Medicaid (HT4M)’s “The Future of Pediatric Innovation” on December 16th, 2020 brought together a panel of distinguished leaders to discuss strategies to engage pediatric patients with cutting-edge innovations.

Speakers included Adimika Arthur, Executive Director, HealthTech 4 Medicaid(HT4M); Dr. Gary Butts, Executive Vice President and Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer, Director and Co-founder, Diversity Innovation Hub, Mount Sinai Health System; Josh Golomb, CEO of Hazel Health; Brett Shamosh and David Schafran, CEO and COO of School Care; Christine Harrison, VP, Corporate Affairs of Orchard Therapeutics; and Deb Levine, Consultant of the CA Children’s Trust.

We dove into insights around pediatric innovations, ranging from gene therapy’s role and support for families, to bridging schools and healthcare for better outcomes.

The discussion additionally covered barriers like onboarding and suitability of innovations, showcasing solutions from Orchard Therapeutics, SchoolCare, Hazel Health, OkaySo, NOD, Violet Therapy, and Ayana. The event overall stressed the importance of youth and community voices in designing inclusive innovations, concluding with a call to meet pediatric needs and engage their voices for impactful solutions.
