This conference session calls for a multifaceted and inclusive approach to maternal health. By navigating the complexities of a transforming world and leveraging technological and policy innovations, we aim to foster discussions that drive innovation and action. Together, we can advance towards a future where equitable birthing health is a reality for all, transcending geographical, economic, and social barriers. This approach not only aims to revive progress towards achieving SDG Target 3.1 but also to ensure sustainable and inclusive improvements in maternal health globally.

As California endeavors to broaden coverage for underserved communities, health information technology (HIT) stands poised to facilitate equitable access to care. The CMA HIT Summit, convened by the California Medical Association (CMA) in collaboration with HealthTech 4 Medicaid (HT4M), convened thought leaders from across California and the nation to strategize the realization of this vision.
