Medicaid Insights: Medicaid Redetermination

On June 28, 2024, HeathTech 4 Medicaid (HT4M) continued our “Medicaid Insights” with “Medicaid Insights: Medicaid Redetermination.” This webinar featured an impassioned panel of experts navigating the midst of Medicaid redetermination and its impact on the Medicaid community. The conversation featured Adimika Arthur, CEO & Executive Director, HT4M; Kate McEvoy, Executive Director, National Association of Medical Directors; Melisa Byrd, Medicaid Director, DC Department of Health Care Finance; Ron Wyatt, Founder & CEO, Achieving Health Equity LLC; and Robin Rudowitz, Vice President, KFF and Director of Program on Medicaid and the Uninsured. Our webinar delved into the patient and administrative impact of the unwinding period on how Medicaid is delivered to vulnerable populations.

Medicaid Insights: Pediatric Care

On Tuesday, June 4th, 2024, HealthTech 4 Medicaid (HT4M) hosted the third installment of our "Medicaid Insights" series. The webinar, titled "Medicaid Insights: Pediatric Care," spotlighted critical issues and groundbreaking innovations in pediatric healthcare within the Medicaid program. The discussion featured prominent voices in the field, including Adimika Meadows Arthur, CEO & Executive Director of HT4M; Meghan Haycraft, Co-Founder of Imagine Pediatrics; Travis Gayles, Chief Health Officer of Hazel Health; and Greg Buchert, CEO of Makani Science. With Medicaid providing coverage to approximately 40 million children in the United States, its role in ensuring healthcare for children from low-income families is indispensable. Our panelists explored transformative technologies and effective strategies to enhance pediatric care delivery and coordination for Medicaid-enrolled children.

Medicaid Insights: Birthing Equity

On Thursday, May 30th, HealthTech 4 Medicaid (HT4M) hosted the second installment of our "Medicaid Insights" series, titled "Medicaid Insights: Birthing Equity." This insightful webinar addressed the systemic challenges contributing to inequitable birthing outcomes and emphasized the urgent need for transformative approaches to achieve birthing health equity. The discussion featured distinguished panelists, including Adimika Meadows Arthur, CEO & Executive Director of HT4M; Rachel Nicks, CEO & Founder of Birth Queen; Lauren Elliot, CEO & Founder of Candlelit Care; Priya Bathija, CEO & Founder of Nyoo Health; and Alli Cuentos, Director & Co-Founder of SisterWeb San Francisco Community Doula Network. As Medicaid covers over 40% of births in the United States and serves as the largest source of public funding for family planning services, this webinar delved into the inequities in birthing health related to policy, mental health, and doula care. It highlighted the systemic challenges faced in our nation's birthing practices and showcased the efforts of our panelists to address and mitigate these issues.”

On May 23rd, 2024, HealthTech 4 Medicaid (HT4M) hosted the inaugural webinar in our "Medicaid Insights" series, titled "Medicaid Insights: Older Adults." The webinar focused on key insights, policy opportunities, and innovative solutions to enhance care for older adults within the Medicaid program. The discussion featured expert insights from Adimika Meadows Arthur, CEO & Executive Director of HT4M; Jonathan Gonzalez-Smith, Assistant Research Director at the Duke-Margolis Institute for Health Policy; Erin Westphal, Program Officer at The SCAN Foundation; and Raj Kottamasu, Senior Principal for Design and Strategy at the Public Policy Lab. This event provided a collaborative platform for the HT4M community to identify challenges and opportunities in investing and scaling innovations for older adults in Medicaid. Panelists and attendees shared valuable ideas on how to unite different stakeholders to enhance investment and entrepreneurship in the Medicaid market for older adults.
